newznew (Chandigarh) : Punjab Arts Council has organized Randhawa Utsav (Mela Vaisakhi Da) at Punjab Kala Bhawan Rose Garden Sector 16 Chandigarh from 15th to 19th April 2017. Today on 16th April 2017, programme of Punjabi Folk Dances and Folk songs along with Rajasthani Dance was organized in this function by Sh. Ajit Singh and Group. Specially on demand they presented Balley “Vanjara” “Harvest Dance”.A programme of talent hunt was also held there.

Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi, Cabinet Minister of Punjab for Techincal Training and Industrial Training was Chief Guest Today. The eminent personalities from Punjabi Music and Punjabi Films like Smt Dolly Guleria, Rupinder Handa, Joban Sandhu and Balraj were also present at this occasion.

While welcoming the all guests Chairperson of Punjab Arts Council, Ms. Satinder Satti said that we feel proud that Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi, Cabinet Minister of Punjab for Techincal Training and Industrial Training is present with us today. She also said that Punjab Arts Council is committed to spread the message of Punjabiat and Punjabi culture from Punjab to all over the world.

Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi, Cabinet Minister of Punjab for Techincal Training and Industrial Training also gave blessing to the participating artists and praised Punjab arts Council to organized such function.

In this programme, Ajit Singh and Group presented Folk Dance Luddi, Bhangra and Rajasthani Folk dance along with Punjabi Folk songs.

Er. S. S. Virdi, Vice Chairman, Punjab Arts Council, Sh. Diwan Manna, President, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur Sohal, President, Punjab Sahit Akademi, Sh. Pritam Singh Rupal, Secretary, Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi and eminent artists like Parvesh Sethi, Sh. Balkar Sidhu, Manager, Tagore Theatre were also present on this occasion.
