DCS TO RESOLVE GRIEVANCES OF CONSUMERS ON THE SPOT
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The Punjab Government has decided to observe National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) from December 24 to 30. The deputy commissioners of all the districts have been directed to conduct grievance redressal meetings in their respective districts and ensure on the spot redressal of the complaints of consumers.
Stating this here today, an official spokesperson of the state government said that the prime objective behind observing this week was to generate awareness among the consumers about their legal rights. He said the literature, focusing on the legal rights of the consumers, would be distributed in the state.
He further added that quiz contests, seminars, poster making and essay writing competitions would be conducted in the schools and colleges of the state.
