Panjab University, Chandigarh will be publishing the tentative merit list for admissions to B.Pharma. and B.Sc. (Hons.) courses. The University had conducted the common entrance test (PU CET-UG 2017) on June 4 and after the declaration of entrance test results, the qualified candidates were asked to fill the admission forms. As per the notified schedule, PU CET merit list 2017 will be published in the evening today.
Updates from Panjab University: PU CET merit list for B.Pharma and B.Sc. (Hons.) courses will be published today, July 14.
The dates of sports trials have been changed. Now, the sports trials will be conducted from July 22 to 25.
Panjab University has total 467 seats on offer through PU CET UG 2017, this includes 58 NRI quota seats. The courses – Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) and B.Sc. (Hons.) are offered under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). B.Sc. (Hons.) are further distributed among specializations such as Anthropology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Maths, Microbiology, Physics, Physics (Specialization in Electronics) and Zoology.
As the PU CET UG results were announced by the University on June 13, the online admission form filling process began on June 14. The students declared qualified in the entrance test were asked by the University to fill online admission form till July 2, while the last date for submission of hard copy of admission form in University was July 7. Now, as per the process adopted by PU, the merit list for admission to B.Pharm. and B.Sc. (Hons.) is to be prepared by giving 25% weightage to the marks of qualifying exam (+2) and 75% weightage to marks of entrance test.
The students will be able to check PU CET merit list from University website cetug.puchd.ac.in. Soon after the publication of merit list, the University will open the objection submission facility. The students can check their details in the PU CET merit list and submit the objections regarding merit till July 15. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of already filled up information by the candidates. Also, the students will be able to fill the preferences for B.Pharma and B.Sc. (Hons.) courses up to July 15.
Panjab University will publish the provisional merit list on July 18 along with the 1st counselling seat allocation list.
