The upcoming series, Chidiya, tells the story of a man in his middle age, who is struggling to cope with the loss of his wife. His big house, which was once filled with love and laughter, now feels empty and lonely. Even though he has a daughter, she’s married and lives with her in-laws, leaving him lonely.
That’s when he meets his neighbour, Somya, who is kind, charming, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She starts taking care of him, cooking his meals, and showing him affection.
As they spend more time together, the man finds himself drawn to Somya’s warmth and charm. He starts to feel alive again. But as their connection deepens, it raises questions about whether it’s right to pursue romance again or whether Somya will reciprocate his dark desires.

The first trailer begins with the introduction of the middle-aged man and Somya’s sweet conversations as she’s his daughter’s only friend. Soon, the middle-aged man gets injured and is unable to walk. Somya then visits his house frequently and helps him.
