Youth must never give up on their dreams, says Ace cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur at CII meet

To motivate the youth of the country to chase their dreams with the zeal shown by ace woman cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur, Young Indians Solan Chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) felicitated Harmanpreet at CII NR Headquarters here today. Addressing mediapersons on the occasion Harmanpreet Kaur also announced the launch of CII Yi Corporate Premier League from September 15 till the of November this year.

“The way people now want to watch women cricket and encourage the sport for women is a heartening change to see. To the youngsters of today I want to tell them to chase their dreams and never give up. It has been a long journey of ten years at the cost of my family also which has borne fruit this year. The hard work has  finally paid off. The recognition from all quarters is any sportsperson’s dream and mine too. I would like to promote sports in Moga Fazilka belt from where very good cricket talent comes.

I wish that the recognition we get now helps women cricket to grow and inspires women sports persons in the times to come.”

“It is the best phase for the Indian cricket especially women’s cricket. Currently, I am focusing on cricket and would look forward to opening a cricket academy in future.  My parents unending support has made the journey easier for me. The award I will be receiving from the government is like a dream come true for me as it will motivate me to deliver my best in future tournaments,” she added.

CII Himachal Vice Chairman IMJS Sidhu said Harmanpreet and the women cricket team exemplifies the spirit of the youth today, which is ready to devote themseves to achieve dreams of conquering any field in the world.
