NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Universal Group of Institutions organised intensive, residential workshop on employability and entrepreneurship development. The theme of this workshop was transforming high potential youth into high performing youth leaders. Topics discussed at the moment were employability related skill development like need of assessment, preliminary research, business plan, identifying the recourses, legal framework, financing, marketing and setting future goals, team building activities, conflict resolution, Communication Skills, Team building Entrepreneurship skills, Challenges and opportunities to start a new business . Later , mistakes that young and new entrepreneurs often made in action and plan were also discussed.
While speaking at the moment chairman, Dr. Gurpreet Singh encouraged students to start own small business and motivated the staff members to encourage the students as well as the youth to undergo National Skill Development Program which not only help an individual but a society as a whole. He said that such programs will change the thought process of today’s generation and they will come up with new innovative ideas and will change the whole nation. He Later, also highlighted the point of positive reinforcement to be given to the students from time to time in order to motivate the students & highlighted the need of Introspection . He pointed out that one first of all must understand his own thought process and brings a positive change in himself. This will unleash a dynamic youth for the betterment of society.
