NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Kushan Productions & Dance Pe Chance – a popular Dance Academy of tricity, organized Mr & Miss Elegant 2016 Fashion Show at Chandigarh Club. A new addition this time was the Junior Mr & Ms Elegant.
Jagdeep Kaur, Founder & Director, Dance Pe Chance(DPC) said, “This fashion show was not like others as it was related to our Culture & new trends in Indian Couture. This was the second edition of the Fashion Show. We have given shape to as many as 28 events within 2 years & are growing fast in this Market.”
Harsukhinder Singh Badal (Bubby Badal), National Chief Spokesman, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) graced the occasion.
60 Participants including kids, gilrs & gentlemen showed their talent during the ramp walk; at Mr. & Ms. Elegant. 4 Rounds were held & in the end the Crowning Ceremony took place. The programme was interspersed with Cultural Dance Performances like Bhangra, Classical dance and a breathtaking dance by a special Child Sanskriti Aggarwal was also part of the event. A Live performance by Female Band Jen Thunder to spread the message of the need for ‘Women Empowerment’ & to motivate women was also held.
Not only did the participants show their ramp walking skills but their overall personality & intelligence too was judged. The Screening Format followed at the event was that the contestants participated in traditional Punjabi virsa, jeans worn in ethnic style, saree round, long dresess. Param Wadhawan – who is a Splitsvilla Season 6 winner, Mr. Charandeep Singh, Head of Global Punjabi Channel, Ms Guramrita Gill Ms Elegant 2015, Mr Navjit Singh. Mr Elegant 2015 & Renu Kataria, A Female Traffic Marshal were the judges.
Adds Jagdeep Kaur, “The motive at DPC is to provide exposure to young talent of the region here itself, identify promising youngsters and then groom them. Mr & Ms Elegant is a step in this direction.”
The event was powered by M&M Builders(Manchanda Group) which is bringing ‘Kaisville’ one of their most premier projects in Manali. Sakshi Manchanda Director and Mr Vijay Shahi were present from the company. The event’s Associate partner was Chandigarh University, Gharuan. The Jewellery Partner was ‘Kangan Jewellers’. Karan Makeover was the Make Up Partner, Meet collections was Style Partner, Kamal Textiles Phase IV , Mohali provided a wonderful collection for the fashion show, Elegant Boutique also contributed with some New Styles, Notty Kids was the partner for kids’ attires. Setup Partners were The Plannerz & Khan Production, while Seabird was the Celebrity Partner. WWICS also supported the event.
Some of the others who associated with the event were Forever Living Products, Shine & Smile Dental Clinic, Phase 11, Mohali, Sethi Dhaba, Zirakpur & Prerna Sahayta Society in Sector 70, which is providing free education to 90+.
