NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Max Super Specialty Hospital (MSSH), Moahli celebrated ‘Nurses Day’ with lot of fanfare at Law Bhavan, Sector 37, Chandigarh today. Mr. Sandeep Dogra, VP- Operations, MSSH , Dr NM Gupta and Dr G P Malik were the chief guests during occasion.
International Nurses Day is observed worldwide in order to commemorate the valuable contribution of nurses in the form of their selfless service to the society.
During occasion, the nurses performed colorful dances and songs. The slogan competition and quiz competition were also organized. The nurses also took part in a ramp walk show. At the end, a vibrant bhangra and gidda performances were performed.
Speaking during occasion, Mr. Dogra said that the day was also marked the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale. Her vision completely changed the society’s approach towards nursing. She understood the valuable contribution nurses could make in healthcare. We salute the spirit of the nurse on this day, asserted Mr. Dogra.
Later for their outstanding professional work, the nurses were honored with awards like ‘nightingale of the year award’, ‘best clinical department’, ‘best hand hygiene’ and ‘best shift in-charge’.
