Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) commenced the conduct of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) examination today against the notified vacancies. The recruitment test will be held on six more dates over the period of two months. Apart from 17th June exam (today), KPSC LDC exams would also be on July 1, 15, 29, August 5, 19 and 26. The recruitment consist of four-phased examination process.
Reports are that on a whole, 17.94 lakh candidates have registered to take Kerala PSC LDC exam this year. Of them, 3.98 lakh were allocated the date June 17 from Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram districts. Report further states that 657 centres were set up in Malappuram district and 978 more for Thiruvananthapuram district. Even though the minimum eligibility required to apply for this direct recruitment drive was set as SSLC passed, over 70 percent applications are from the candidates with graduate degree holders and professional degree holders such as B.Tech and even from P.hD holders and all this when the reported vacancies are nowhere near the mark.
The jobs notified under the notification dated November 25, 2016, category no.- 414/2016, come under the pay band of Rs. 19000-43600.
Answer Key
Kerala PSC LD clerk exam 2017 was conducted between 1:30 pm to 3:15 pm, with 1 hour and 15 minutes given to students for writing the exam. The exam is for a total of 100 marks distributed as 50 marks for General knowledge & current affairs section, 20 marks for simple arithmetic and mental ability section, 20 marks for English section and 10 marks for general knowledge in regional language.
Now that the exam is over and the release of official answer key and result declaration is still at large months away, candidates will be looking ahead to get their hands on the answers of Kerala PSC LDC exam which will help them get a rough idea of their performance. For this, some of the regional coaching centres such as Brilliance college and Talent academy release the answer keys.
