NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Indo Global Colleges organized National Conference on Advanced Materials & Technologies in Mechanical and Civil Engineering in which as many as 300 delegates and students participated. The conference commenced after the traditional lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana . Sukhdev Kumar Singla Chairman of Indo Global Colleges while welcoming chief guest and dignitaries said that such wonderful events provides great learning to the students to broaden their horizon.
The Chief Guest at the moment was Dr. Siby John Professor & Head Civil Engineering Department, PEC Chandigarh. He informed about sustainability drawing a comparison between materials used earlier and material being used now in construction. He elaborated with examples of heritage structures which are in good condition after withstanding passage of time is a clear indication of the sustainability of the construction material used earlier.
Dr. T S Kamal, Member Institution of Engineers, Chandigarh, delivered the keynote address at the Conference where as Er Anoop Sharma of AIG Automation and Sanjeev Suri Director Punjab Irrigation Department were the other speakers for the First Technical Session. After Lunch break in second technical Session Dr. Jatinder Garg, Registrar PIT Hoshiarpur. Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Head of Department Electronics & Communications of Indo Global College, Er. Rajeev of Ultratech Cement Limited and Mr. Bains Senior Manager PEDA addressed this session.
