NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, phase 2 organized the plantation drive under the banner of NSS unit in the Institute . At this moment, collage making & poster making competition was also organized in campus hall .The plants were planted in all the three campuses of the Gain Jyoti, two at Mohali and other campus village Shambu Kallan(Near Chandigarh) at integrated campus .
Gian Jyoti group Chairman J S Bedi inaugurated the venture by planting a tree and said that we should be concerned to save our environment. He further added that it is high time to save the earth otherwise coming generation will have to face dire consequences.
Gain Jyoti Group every year plants many saplings , which would not only beautify the surroundings but also lead to a greener, more eco-friendly and pollution-free environment. He further added the main aim of organizing this drive was to make the students aware about the hazards of pollution and the need for planting more trees so as to save our Earth . He further also promoted the usage of paper bags and make city plastic free. With a motive to sensitize people about the dangers being faced by the green planet, students took a pledge to make the city plastic free.
