NewZNew (Chandigarh) :  With fervor of Christmas in the air, the upscale shopping & entertainment destination—DLF City Centre Mall in IT Park, Chandigarh, which is the only Premium Outlet Mall of tri-city, has been decked up like a bride to celebrate Christmas season & also to ring in the New Year. To celebrate Christmas in a resounding way, the mall organized a colourful Christmas Parade which saw as many as 70 kids dressed up in the X’Mas theme, scorching the ramp in their innovative costumes. Many kids dressed up as Santas, some girls could be spotted in attires akin to Santarinas  – the female version of Santa Claus, the more creative parents gave children looks that matched elves & reindeers etc. It was a pretty picture as the children took to the ramp to show their dresses to the assembled panel of judges. Exciting prizes were given to children who participated. The parade was held separately for age groups 4 to 7 years & 8 to 13 years. Santa was also seen distributing goodies to kids at the mall as he met & shook hands with all his fans.

The Christmas & New Year Celebration, of which the Christmas Parade was a part, will be on till January 4, 2015.This Christmas, shoppers will get up 60% off on their favourite brands & a chance to win full cash back & assured gifts. The Festival also saw soothing Christmas carols being sung by St Mary School, Chandigarh Choir and Church Group. The air at the mall promises to be infectious with cheer & bonhomie.
