3 Nature Parks worth Rs. 4 .50 crore will be Dedicated to the general public soon.
NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : With an objective of making Dera Bassi a beautiful city of Punjab, its multifaceted development being carried out with proper planning. Stating this Chief Parliamentary Secretary Industry & Commerce Punjab Mr. N.K.Sharma said during a special interaction, that sufficient funds will be ensured for the overall development of Dera Bassi.
Mr. Sharma said that work for providing street lights worth Rs. 2 .6 crore stands completed 50 % and the remaining work will be completed soon. He said that providing street light in the city will make a control over the unwanted burglary during night hours. He said that a new “Dharamshala” worth Rs. 30 lacs is being constructed at Ram Mandir and besides providing interlocking tiles in the city worth Rs. 3.50 crore, proper drainage arrangement in view of the coming rainy season, is also being ensured. He said that interlocking paver-blocks worth Rs. 28.42 lacs are being provided from Gurudwara Sahib to Main Road at village Janetpur. Besides these Rs. 14 .65 lacs will be spent for providing RCC Pipe for Railway Crossing Issapur to Issapur Colony.
Sh. Sharma said that 3 nature parks worth Rs. 4 .50 crore are being provided to facilitate the general public. He said that Rs. 50 lacs stands released for the same and directions for timely completion of the same has also been issued. Sh. Sharma said that efforts are being done to provide urban facilities to the villages falling under Municipal Corporation Zirakpur, Dera Bassi & Lalru Panchayat. He said that the construction of concrete bridge worth Rs. 40 lacs at village Chaundheri falling under Lalru Panchayat will be completed soon. Rs. 26.28 lacs are being spent fot CC Flooring at village Gholumajra. He said that Rs. 31.22 lacs are being spent for constructing a new community centre at here for which 50% work stands completed. He said that relevant directions have been issued for construction work worth Rs. 21.12 lacs for providing dumping points for garbage disposal at village Lalru will be completed soon.
