NewZNew (Chandigarh) : A classy & glamourous event — ‘Mr & Miss Elegant 2015’, was organised in Chandigarh by Dance-Pe-Chance(DPC), a company which specialises in teaching dance, hunt for talent in the performing arts & creating Visual productions like Films. The event saw beautiful girls and handsome boys in the age group from 15 to 26 years, from across the region, showing their talent in front of a discerning audience & an eminent panel of judges.
Ms. Jagdeep Kaur, Founder & Director of DPC said, “The Final Auditions were held on 21st February where in Intro,Talent and Q & A rounds were held. The mega event & beauty pageant organised is a platform that will help top performers enter the glamorous world of fame through the upcoming Hindi Film ‘Roots’, which has been produced by DPC’s Production team. The winners will get an opportunity to act in the movie.” Adds Ms Kaur, “The motive at DPC is to provide exposure to young talent of the region here itself, identify promising youngsters and then groom them. Mr & Ms Elegant is a step in this direction.”
Twenty ravishing girls and as many handsome young men scorched the ramp and showcased their talent, personality & intelligence in front of the judges who comprised of Model Cum Actress Sara Gurpal & ‘Student of the Year’ fame actor Sahil Anand, Mr Hector Sandhu from Zaira Diamonds, Mr Charandeep Singh, Director, Global Punjab TV, Mr. Suraj from Ru-Ba-Ru, Ms Veena Sachdeva from Omika Creations and Mr. Harsh from Landmark. The male & female winners will not just bag roles in ‘Roots’, but also get an opportunity to participate in Mr. & Miss India Global Ru-Ba-Ru, an International Talent Competition.
The Screening Format followed at the event was that the contestants participated in Intro, Western Wear, Masquerade, Elegant & Q-A rounds. Those who scored the maximum points were declared winners. The event also saw announcement of release of the upcoming Hindi movie ‘Roots’, by the team at DPC. The crowning of winners was done by Ms Jagdeep Kaur in the presence of Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur & Mrs. Neenu Goyal from Zaira Diamonds.
Zaira Diamond was the jewellery partner, Global Punjab was the overseas partner and took the event to an International level through TV and Radio in Canada and US, Landmark the Style partner, Omika Creations & Isha Gupta provided designer collections to participants, Forever Living Products was the Beauty product partner.
