NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : NCC cadets of Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions created history by winning more than 10 trophies during the 10 days NCC camp held at Mohali. Over 650 NCC cadets from 20 schools & colleges across the Punjab participated in the camp.
Sr. under officer, Poonam Verma won three prizes 1st in rifle shooting, 2nd in writing and she has been also awarded as Best Cadet Senior wing girls. Cadet Jai Malviya won 1st prize in writing and Cadet Varinder kumar won 3rd prize in cross country race. Gian Jyoti Group also bagged 1st position in group song, 2nd in group dance and 2nd in drill competition. The overall best college participation trophy was also won by Gian Jyoti Group. Sr. under officer, Poonam Verma, Cadet Amiteshwer Singh and Cadet Varinder Kumar also got selected for Republic Day Camps (RDC) and Thal Sena Camp (TSC).
