City NCC Air Wing Cadet Jasleen Kaur of 1 Chd Air Sqn NCC participated in the 61st national shooting championship competition, held at Thiruvananthapuram from 11th – 31st December 2017. In the prone events she won 1 gold medal in the 50M rifle prone woman ( ISSF ) national championship team event and 1 silver medal in the 50M rifle prone woman ( ISSF ) civilian championship team event. In the 3 position events she won 1 bronze medal in 50m rifle 3P junior women (ISSF) civilian championship individual event, 1 bronze medal in 50m rifle 3P junior women (ISSF ) national championship team event, and 1 silver medal in 50m rifle 3P women (ISSF ) civilian championship team event. With this she has qualified for National squad selection trials. A Bsc III student of DAV College, Sector 10 , Chandigarh, the budding shooter has been striking a balance with her studies too.
