Websites was launched in august presence of the chief guest at the ceremony Dr C.K. Naranyan, Asst Professor- CSE, Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar. Keynote speaker at the event was Dr S L Goyal Chairman, Editorial Board Indian journal of Public Administration.
Founders of the website Shashank Sharma, Sanjit Chhabra, Nakul Sofat and Sahil Bhalla said theeducentre.com has been created as collaborative platform for educational/ coaching requirement of the students of all the age groups. It gives user a dedicated platform where they can go and search for coaching towards a specific entrance examination.
They added that in today’s world of competition the focus is to give exclusivity. Every persons registering on website would get a dedicated micro site to each coaching institute where they would be explained every detail about coaching plan. Students can also directly contact the coaching institutes filling in a query form at the website.
Currently Educentre is serving 20 coaching institutes of tricity, spread across various streams, & the big brand names of Lakshya, T.I.M.E, Bulls Eye, I.B.S., CRB Excelsior, Edugaps, Ek Pathsala, are already live on the website. “We aim to cover entire coaching fraternity of the tricity as in today’s time coaching has become a part of the student curriculum only. Chandigarh being the major hub for coaching fulfils the needs of students from entire Punjab, Haryana & Himachal Pradesh, we would be visiting almost each and every school, college in 50 kms of radius of Chandigarh within the next 30 days & accordingly would be covering the rest area also,” they said.
The main vision of creating educentre was to fill the gap between the students & the coaching institutes where the students use to roam around in market or ask their seniors for good coaching institutes, so here is a medium which provides all these details to them at a single click. Educentre plans to open its next branch in Patiala by next month and in next six months would be expanding to Kota as well. By next year we would be opening our branches in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon, they said.
