Channa Mereya – First Day First Show

Channa Mereya has opened to pack houses in small cities in the opening shows. The occupancy levels are huge in many places and the film will surely open to a big number on Day 1. Early Morning Shows at many centers like Sirsa, Moga, Jalandhar, Jalalabad West, Muktsar were all sold out. The film is also faring well in big cities like Chandigarh & Ludhiana which usually collect big due to the presence of many big multiplexes in those cities. All in all Channa Mereya will open big and may break the record of the highest collections by a film starring a newcomer by some distance. That record is currently held by Rabb Da Radio which released earlier this year.

Channa Mereya – Day 1

Channa Mereya opened to a thundering response on Day 1 at the Box Office. The film collected Rs. 1.05 Crores in East Punjab region at the Box Office on Day 1. The film had good occupancies all over Punjab especially in the B & C centers and the film has found a connect with the audiences. Also Amrit Maan and Ninja are way more popular in smaller cities that the bigger ones. The film has taken the highest opening for a film starring new comers in the lead role and broken the previous record held by Rabb Da Radio by a fair distance. The film is either expected to maintain the same pace or grow on Saturday and Sunday.

Channa Mereya – Day 2

Channa Mereya is showing no signs of slowing down at the Box Office on Day 2. Usually when Punjabi films drop around 15-20% normally, Channa Mereya has not even registered a 5% drop and the film collected around Rs. 1.02 Crores at the Box Office on Day 2. The occupancy levels were exactly similar from Day 1 at all the places. The 2-day Total of East Punjab for Channa Mereya is Rs. 2.07 Crores. The film is expected to grow on Sunday as the family audiences come in large numbers on Sunday.

Channa Mereya – Day 3

Channa Mereya continued to shatter records on it’s 3rd day at the Box Office. The film collected Rs. 1.25 Crores on it’s Day 3 in East Punjab region taking its 3-day total in the region to a whooping Rs. 3.32 Crores. This is the 4th biggest Opening of the year with Manje Bistre, Lahoriye & Super Singh making the Top 3 and Rabb Da Radio sitting at No. 5 and the 9th or 10th Best Opening of all time.

Channa Mereya – Day 4

Channa Mereya collected Rs. 59 Lacs on its 4th day at the East Punjab Box Office. The 4-day Box Office Total of the film is Rs. 3.91 Crores. This is a Bumper figure given that the film features new comers in the lead roles and the film has a storyline which is very different from the regular comedy stuff which usually works at the Box Office.

Channa Mereya collected Rs. 51 Lacs on its 5th day at the East Punjab Box Office. The 5-day Box Office Total of the film is Rs. 4.42 Crores.
