NewZNew (S A S Nagar) :  Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, organized the Annual Placement Day for distribution of offer letters to 2015 pass outs. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mr. Madan Mohan Mittal (Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Punjab for Industries and Commerce, Technical Education & Industrial Training). Mr. Mittal honoured more than 910 students with offer letters.

In 2015, more than 4500 job offers were made in 342 campus placement drives across all the disciplines like Engineering, Computer Applications, Management, Pharmacy/Bio-technology, Hotel Management and Education. Under the Joint Placement Drive, students from other colleges/universities of the region also got placed in top notch multinational corporations. Students bagged offers from blue chip companies such as Microsoft, Deloitte, MRF Ltd, Kempenski, ITC Ltd and many more.

While addressing the students, Madan Mohan Mittal emphasized on the importance of college life and that inculcation of discipline among students would help them landing with a job by the time they graduate. He further added that the initiative by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Make in India focuses on encouraging companies to manufacture their products in India which would increase employability prospects .He further informed that youth of each country played very important role in the  growth and development of the country.

While speaking at the moment Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu and President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, CGC said that the future of the country is in right hands as these aspirants will do all the right things to take our country on a fast forward track towards progress. He also spoke that the college has set a massive record of giving around 910 job offers to the young aspirants. The chairman further added that  placement scenario is quite evident through the company Petro Technology, the leading multinational company that made a visit to our campus with 20 lacs package in which IIT Ropar and 4 NIT’s of North India participated.
