The Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change  Northern Regional Office, celebrated 68th Van Mahotsav today in association with the Food Corporation of India, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and Central Warehouse Corporation in Chandigarh. Around 200 saplings of Duranta, Hibiscus, Kaner, bamboo, Sadabahar were planted in the green area outside the office complex at Chandigarh.

On this occasion, Sh. C.D.Singh APCCF (C) Head of department of Northern Regional Office, Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change acknowledged the cooperation of associated offices in the programme and reiterated the need of planting and protecting trees/plants wherever space is available. About 60-70 officials participated in the plantation drive.
