PUNJABI BEAUTIES SHINE AT ‘MISS INDIA EUROPE 2017’ BEAUTY PAGEANT
Chandigarh based Pageant Director Deepti Mahat, Madhur Bhandarkar and Indian Ambassador judged the event
Punjab born Ms Anshi Singh from Finland recently crowned as Miss India Europe 2017 at a grand finale held at Stockholm, Sweden. Dazzling finale witnessed a massive participation from the various European nations but only meant for Indian Diasporas. Ms Preety Dhillon from Holland (originally from Phagwara) bagged the first runner up position while Suhani Sodhi consoled with third spot.
The event was judged by eminent personalities from media, glamour, art & culture from different part of Europe & India including Chandigarh based Pageant Director Deepti Katoch, also Mrs India Overseas, noted film director Madhur Bhandarkar, Ms Monika Kapil Mohta, Ambassador of India to Sweden & Latvia and few others.
17 years old Ms Anshi Singh from Finland finds her family roots in Jalandhar and she is studying in 2ndyear of high school in Finland. She participated in a beauty pageant first time and was fully supported by her family. First runner up Ms Preety Dhillon from Holland originally hails from Phagwara. She is professional model and crowned as Miss India Holland 2017 while 2nd runner up position holder Ms Suhani Sodhi of Germany has parental roots from Delhi.
Prior to grand finale, all finalists underwent a week long grooming and training which also includes a classical dance workshop, yoga & skin care session, Stage presentation & speaking skills workshop and finally Grooming session.
The grand finale which was sponsored by Lazzat Foods AB had three rounds in which the contestants showcased their talent, beauty and love for Indian culture in presentation round, Talent round and Question & Answer round. The two hour long grand finale was a non – stop entertainment event with lot of Indian dance performances, music, dance and talent.
